Preliminary Ratings: Thursday 10/08/15

Everything was down, form their previous week's ratings as game one of both AL Divisional Series began in FS1. CBS was the clear winner of the night, but the numbers are severely deflated. Part of the huge drop in the numbers was the MLB game, but also the COLTS vs TEXANS match up that had the best player, Andrew Luck, on the Colts sideline. Just 11.2 million viewers watched a relatively close game. This may end up being the lowest rated primetime game, on Network TV, this year.

ABC's three dramas were also down, but a competitive second place. There were the only programs, outside of Football, that drew A18-49 demo ratings of a 2.0 or better.

FOX and NBC battled it out for the #3 spot of the night. Both nets tied in the A18-49 and A25-54 demos, with FOX taking the A18-34 demo and NBC grabbing more viewers. THE PLAYER was the lowest rated show, from the Big 4, in all three demographic ratings.

The CW premiered its Thursday night line up and it tanked. THE VAMPIRE DIARIES drew just 1.4 million viewers and a 0.6 rating in Adults 18-49, while THE ORIGINALS fell under one million viewers and 0.4 score in the three demos. Both are down from last year's premieres and THE ORIGINALS drew less viewers than the premiere of REIGN did, in the time slot, on year earlier.
