The Latest Network Pickups & the New CBS shows

Here are the latest pickups by the five major networks.

CBS:
CBS was late to the Friday party and has added the following new shows for the 2015-16 season

  • CODE BLACK (Drama):
    Starring Marcia Gay Harden, Bonnie Somerville and Luis Guzman
    Medical drama set in the busiest and most notorious ER in the nation where the extraordinary staff struggle in the face of a broken system to protect their ideals and the patients who need them the most.
  • CRIMINAL MINDS: BYOND BORDER (Drama):
    Starring Gary Sinise, Daniel Henney and Tyler James
    The planned spin-off from CRIMINAL MINDS, featuring international stories.
  • LIMITLESS (Drama):
    Starring Jake McDorman, Jennifer Carpenter and Hill Harper
    Based on the 2011 feature. The series follows Brian Finch as he discovers the power of the mysterious drug NZT, and is coerced into using his newfound drug-enhanced abilities to solve weekly cases for the FBI.
  • RUSH HOUR (Drama):
    Starring Justine Hires and Jon Foo
    Based on the three hit films, a by-the-book Hong Kong police officer is assigned to a case in Los Angeles where he’s forced to work with a cocky African-American LAPD officer who has no interest in a partner.
  • SUPERGIRL (Drama):
    Starring Calista Flockhart, Chyler Leigh and David Harewood
    Born on the planet Krypton, Kara Zor-El escaped amid its destruction years ago. Since arriving on Earth, she's been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin.
  • ANGEL FROM HELL (Comedy): 
    Starring Jane Lynch, Maggie Lawson and Kevin Pollak
    When Amy enters Allison’s life and claims to be her guardian angel, they form an unlikely friendship and Allison can’t be sure if Amy is an angel or just nuts.
  • LIFE IN PIECES (Comedy):
    Starring Dianne West, James Brolin and Colin Hanks
    A comedy about one family told through the separate stories of its different family members.
NBC:
YOU THE JURY - Reality courtroom series from Dick Wolf

ABC:
After announcing nine new shows for next season, ABC also picked up the UNCLE BUCK reboot.

FOX:
FOX ordered five new shows for 2015-16, the network picked up FRANKENSTEIN CODE. A drama about a corrupt cop brought back from the dead, for a second chance.

  • LUCIFER - Small screen take on the DC Comics character, who, bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, resigns his throne and abandons his kingdom for the gorgeous, shimmering insanity of Los Angeles, where he opens an exclusive piano bar called Lux
  • MINORITY REPORT - Based on the 2002 theatrical movie.  added a renewal of BONES, late Friday. 
CW:
The CW has been quite since their announcement, early this morning
