Complete Nielsen Ratings: January 12 - 18, 2015

The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #95:

CBS was the dominate network of the past week, It was #1 in all categories, and posted the most watched week, of any network, this season... so far. The network had nine of the top ten programs of the week, plus a total of 19 of the top 30. Every CBS program was within the top 40 shows, except two of the Saturday programs. This has been one of the more dominating weeks of the season, and we didn't even mention the boost CBS got from the AFC Championship.

The ratings for this year's primetime conference title game was... deflated (pun intended). The lost of over 13 million viewers, from last years NFC game, and close to 8 million lost from CBS' last AFC game in primetime in 2013, can be attributed to the blowout score, 45-7, by the New England Patiots over the Indianapolis Colts. Had the game been closer, the numbers would have been much closer to previous years.

FOX perked up as the #2 network, taking second place in the young demo categories, and a close third in mass audiences and households. EMPIRE (#12) and AMERICAN IDOL (#8 and #11) lead the charge by FOX, representing the networks only top 40 programs. But, anything positive FOX can generate, is welcomed after a dismal fall season.

ABC was a close third, pushing seven shows in the top 30. The most watched ABC series was MODERN FAMILY (#16) with 9.4 million viewers. A special Tuesday SHARK TANK did very well, ranking 25th, with 7.5 million viewers.

This is the first week we can see just how weak NBC is, without either THE VOICE or NFL Football. Only CHICAGO PD (#29) was the network's only top 30 program and a majority of the shows fell below the top 40. And it is not as if repeats hurt the numbers as every program was an original episode. NBC still has a long way to go to be a complete network again.
