Primetime Cable Ratings: December 15, 2014

The miniseries ASCENSION kicked off on Monday night, as SyFy presents the story over three nights this week. The opening episode came in at a disappointing 13th place, drawing just under 1.8 million viewers and a 0.6 rating in Adults 18-49. If viewers were like myself, They were up for the great concept that had been advertised, but was completely let down by the execution of the series. It will be interesting to see how the other two nights do in the ratings. My guess, not well.

Monday Night Football scored just over 11 million viewers, as the Saints easily handled the hapless Bears. The game was down close to two million viewers and 25% in the demo, from last week's Packers vs Falcons game.

A new season of LOVE ANS HIP HOP kicked off, drawing just 2.5 million viewers, but the second best demo rating, a 1.4. That is roughly what the series brought in last week, minus a couple thousand viewers.

TINY HOUSE HUNTERS is the new edition of the HGTV hit franchise, which follows people around as they select their new home. The episode collected a relative strong 1.7 million viewers and a 0.4 demo. If you are like me, and fascinated by the whole Tine House thing, it was a nice change of pace to see the different options of living, for the under 400 square foot crowd.
