Complete Nielsen Ratings: November 17 - 23, 2014

The full Nielsen rankings and ratings from #1 to #97:

The final full week of the November sweeps snapped back to something a little more normal. NBC sweeps the young demographic categories. CBS hauls in the most viewers and house holds. ABC battles those two for second place in each category, and FOX battles the low ratings to stay above, barely, the CW.

NBC was the #1 network in each of the three age demographic categories, and placed second in total viewers and households. SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL had a great game and ratings to support it, drawing 22.4 million viewers and an 8.1 demo rating. That places the game in the upper half of this season's games. When SNF does well, NBC does well.

After football coverage, only four other programs make the top 30. The two editions of THE VOICE (#12 and #14), the series premiere of STATE OF AFFAIRS (#26) and THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA (#28). STATE OF AFFAIRS looks to be a bit of a let down, considering the show it replaced on Monday Nights (THE BLACKLIST), but the premiere still won its time slot, in both viewers and demo.

ABC had another good week, thanks to its weekend programming, placing second in both the A18-34 demo and the A18-49 demo . The three hour presentation of the 2014 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS (#10) drew a 3.8 demo rating (#5), easily improving the night by at least two times what the regular line up produces. Also dong above average numbers was the Saturday night college football game, getting a 1.4 demo rating, for another three hours. Combine that with fall finales for its three powerhouse dramas on Thursday night and you can see how strong ABC can be, when it gets support outside the three dramas. In total, ABC placed eight shows in the top 30, with DANCING WITH THE STARS (#7) topping the line up with 14.30 million.

CBS is back to normal, after the debacle that was the HOLLYWOOD FILM AWARDS, last week. The network was back on to in total viewers and households, with the two Friday night dramas placing in the top 20, including BLUE BLOODS at #9. CBS placed 16 shows in the top 30.

Things only seem to get worse for FOX each week. In the A18-34 demographic, FOX tops the CW bu just one tenth of a point. That is usually the demo FOX does decent in, even when viewership is poor. The networks top program of the week was GOTHAM, ranking 45th in viewership and drew just a 2.3 demo rating. Eight programs on the schedule, drew UNDER a 1.0 demo rating. It is time to literally clean house at FOX. You can make the case the NOTHING deserves to come back in the fall of 2015.

The Top 25 A18-49 demo stats:
  1. CBS - 11 programs
