  • CBS hands out multiple full season orders
  • NBC picks up variety show series
  • CW working with NCIS star on new drama
  • The Olympic TV Channel
CBS renews all freshmen dramas:
On Monday, CBS push the episode order to 22 for each of the four new dramas, SCORPION, MADAM SECRETARY, STALKER and NCIS: NEW ORLEANS.



NBC green-lights variety show:
NBC has been given a straight to series, 10 episode order for a new variety show, starring Neil Patrick Harris. The show will be based on a UK series title SATURDAY NIGHT TAKEAWAY, produced by ITV. ITV Studios America will produce the new series. No dates or times have been released for the new series.



The Olympic Channel:
The International Olympic Committee is a step closer to creating an international TV channel that will feature year round Olympic sports. The executive board has recommended the creation of the channel. The proposal will be voted on by the full IOC membership, in early December. Currently, the channel's main language will broadcast in English.



NCIS star developing Shakespeare drama, for the CW:
Mark Harmon, star of NCIS, is developing a the drama SHAKESPEARE'S SISTER for the CW network. The series would be set in 1590 and is described as a romance and revenge, with black magic, series.



NBC gives freshman drama full season order:
The new crime drama MYSTERIES OF LAURA received its back nine order, completing a full season order of the series.



MTV orders series based on movie franchise:
The SCREAM franchise is coming to series TV with an order by MTV, via twitter.
